The Omega uses a DK Dry waterproof insert which consists of a three-layer structure and is impregnated with microscopic aluminium flakes to enhance heat retention. The first layer prevents water penetration the second layer achieves moisture breathability and resistance to water penetration and the third layer further increases water resistance. For further water resistance Dakine has treated the Polyester shell with DWR (Durable Water Repellent) and to keep your hands nice and toasty the 110g of high loft insulation plus a 300g fleece lining creates a warm soft barrier against the cold. The Omega is Touch Screen compatible so you can use your touch screen devices without ever exposing your hands to the elements and the nose wipe thumb panel will clear away that snotty nose on the mountain!
